Just heard that I may have some good news next Monday regarding the planning. Plans for a minor change to the Licence are in hand so we could be up and running for Easter. Now the hard work will start. Thanks to those who have assisted with support, advice and encouragement.

Two steps forward One step back
Still plodding on but nothing goes smoothly now on plan D for cellar location and still battling for Plan B regarding the loo but getting chinks of light and can't wait to get cracking. February will come and go but hopeful for a March start. Cheers mildorbitter.

Struggling on
Happy New Year
The year has started as the old one finished still waiting for a date for the change of use.
Technical issues relating to planning consent from the 1980's are the current problem.
Just got to be patient I guess!
I have picked up paneling for a bar front and have been working on plan B,C and D regarding the location Of the casks if my preferred cellar plans are blocked.
We Will get there but early March looks more realistic.

All the best for 2013
Hi everyone. Clearly 2013 is going to be a big year for Chequers Micropub and me my family and friends. I hope to be able to welcome you to the bar before the end of February. I will keep you all informed regarding progress and key dates and will get some pix up soon showing the pre development and how things progress. First things first 'Change of use'.

Getting closer
Had meeting with building control last week and had discussions with the planning department so we hope to get the change of use sometime in the first half of January so hope to be open mid to late February. Have a great Christmas everyone. Cheers mildorbitter.

Another micropub opens this week Dr's Orders Mansfield Rd, Nottingham.

Another little step
Had another meeting with building control and agreed a compromise on work to be done. Next important deadline appears to be 3rd January for the planning application for change of use.
