HOWZAT Great Newsome Line & Length makes a century

Howzat Great Newsome Line and Length Golden Summer Ale gave us our first century of emptied casks. Thanks to all our wonderful customers who have enabled us to reach a 100 so quickly and how appropriate that it is a summer ale from one our local brewers after the weather we have been blessed with this first 2 months. Thanks again from Ian and the crew.

A great day has arrived.

With tears in my eyes I can confirm that we now have pork pies at Chequers. I realise that they have been slow in arriving but it has been a difficult decision. We have Beautiful pies from Huddersfield including pork, pork and chilli jam, figit pie and pork and blackpudding with others to come. Pies will be served with either mustard or pickle so a pie and a pint is now on offer. Cheers Ian

Happy Birthday The Snug Micropub Carnforth

Well The Snug turned 1 this week and what a first year they have won Lunesdale CAMRA's Pub of the Year Award for 2013 and will be in the 2014 Good Beer Guide. They have been featured on Granada Reports and in Lancashire Life. Congrats on a great 1st year long may it continue.
